The front is a picture of the combination of teachers and labor production, in dark brown and light purple tones; the back is the national emblem and chrysanthemum, in dark brown and light purple tones, commonly known as “back purple/back purple corner” or “back brown/back brown corner”. This banknote is a color-changed version of the 1962 version to distinguish it from the two-jiao RMB. It was issued on December 15, 1967 (the first version was issued on April 20, 1962). From February 4, 1992, it was only received and paid, but will no longer be paid out by the bank, and ceased circulation on July 1, 2000. The year number on the plate is “1962”. In order of issuance, there are three red Roman numerals plus seven Arabic numerals with a solid five-pointed star watermark printed on the front, gravure printing on the front with three red Roman numerals plus seven Arabic numerals without watermark, and two eight-digit Roman numerals with red letters and eight digits gravure printed on the front. Arabic numerals without watermark, double-sided offset printing with two Roman numerals in red and eight-digit Arabic numerals without watermark, double-sided offset printing with blue letters with three Roman numerals plus seven Arabic numerals without watermark and double-sided offset printing with blue letters of two Roman numerals and eight-digit Arabic numerals There are six types without watermark.
